My Story

While pursuing a stage acting career well through college, I had an epiphany. Instead of exploring an artistic education, I wanted to help others succeed in their academic endeavors. I had always been passionate about math. In school as well as in my non-academic life - minesweeper and sudoku are old favorites! And as with anything I enjoy, I love sharing that joy with others. Switching gears, I took my three years of working towards a degree in performing arts and shifted toward enriching my mathematical knowledge. During this study I began to tutor mathematics. I discovered the personal fulfillment in helping others to succeed. In order to best serve my students, I attended school again to receive my teaching certification and taught at Orange Grove Middle School for 4 years, from 6th grade math all the way to 10th grade Geometry. Now, teaching experience and degree in hand, I use my natural communication skills to make math fun and easy for everyone. Every day I am grateful for how lucky I am to do math with all the wonderful people I get to meet!
